Historical review of the laser
In 1958 the laser was discovered, but its use for body hair removal began in 1990 when several doctors, using wart burning techniques and surgical laser operations, realized that in areas of the body where controlled energies were applied also resulted in hair removal. This occurs through the emission of a controlled light beam that produces a certain amount of heat that is absorbed by substances contained in the hair.
The light emitted by the equipment is suitably filtered, to only allow certain wavelengths to be absorbed.
There are several types of laser for hair removal:
1. Alexandrite emits a wavelength of 755 Nanometers.
2. Diode, they emit a wavelength of between 820 – 850 Nanometers.
3. SHR or Alexandrite Laser: It can emit variable wavelengths between 430 - 700 Nanometers.
4. Neodymium – YAG, emit a wavelength of between 1064 – 1065 Nanometers.
¿What does our laser hair removal treatment consist of?
Laser hair removal consists of a treatment of several sessions in which the area to be treated is subjected to intense light using a machine specially designed for this purpose. The goal is to weaken the hair follicle so that the hair gradually stops growing.
Before the treatment, the hair in the area to be treated is shaved and depending on the type of skin and hair of the patient, the parameters of each equipment are adjusted to obtain the best results.
At the end of the treatment, it is advisable to use moisturizing creams to soothe the treated area, as well as sunscreen.
¿How often should I attend for a session and how many sessions?
1 session is held every 4 to 5 weeks!
In total, between 8 and 12 sessions are required to achieve permanent hair removal, this depends on the area treated and the personal response of each patient to the treatment.

The areas that we can remove with laser are varied. We can remove face, mustache, back, chest, abdomen, midline, pubes, genital area, legs, arms.
